So I was in a coffee shop the other day doing some work and was taken back by the ability to focus…or lack there of. It is sometimes noisy in this particular coffee shop and today wasn’t any different. So I decided to listen to my ipod, which seemed to help for a bit. About five minutes went by of being truly engulfed by my work accompanied with good tunes by Jon Foreman. Then it hit me, as if I were waking from a coma, I started to hear whispers, much like the sound of the wind rustling in the trees on a cool overcast October day. This brought me to an epiphanic moment regarding focus and its importance in life. How important is it to: one, find your focus, and two, to find a way to support your focus in a way that keeps you there. With out a will, focus, and determination you are left floundering about in a sea full of people, where in this case spitting won’t help you determine which way it up. Know where you are going, find your focus, and run with it.
On a much lighter note, here is a little taste of what I have been up to 🙂
