my philosophy

I am delighted to share these images from a lovely afternoon spent with local writer and chef Janice Cook Knight.  She is an ever so sweet, incredibly talented, inspiring woman.  You can see some of her work here in  Edible Santa Barbara or if you are looking for a delicious dish to make for your next dinner party look no further, Janice also has written two cookbooks: Follow Your Hear’s Vegetarian Soup Cookbook, and Follow Your Heart Cookbook: Recipes from the Vegetarian Restaurant.  There is something about creating in the kitchen that brings people together and for that I am thankful for time well spent with Janice.  Not only did I learn the art of drying and preserving Japanese persimmons, I feel like I have a new member in my ever expanding family.  Thank you Janice!
