Some of the portraits I create never make it to my website or social media.
For years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing the physicians, providers, nurses, and staff at Clara Barton Medical Center for new hires, promotions, and professional announcements. While those images are usually created for internal and marketing purposes, they’re still some of my favorite sessions because each one represents a new chapter in someone’s career.
Recently, I photographed Kelci Burkey, PA-C, and this session felt especially meaningful.
Like so many families in our community, ours has been fortunate enough to be cared for by Kelci over the years. She’s cared for our family with kindness, compassion, and genuine concern, and while we’re certainly sad to see her leave family medicine, we’re incredibly excited for what this next season holds.
Kelci recently transitioned from Family Practice at Clara Barton Medical Clinic to Women’s Health at Clara Barton Surgical Clinic, where she’ll work alongside Dr. Jenna Sloan providing comprehensive gynecologic care for women throughout central Kansas.
One of the things I love most about this transition is that women now have the opportunity to receive specialized care from someone they already know and trust. Building those relationships matters, and Kelci has spent years earning the confidence of so many patients in our community.
From annual well-woman exams and contraceptive care to helping women navigate menopause, pelvic pain, and other gynecologic concerns, Kelci’s new role allows her to continue serving patients while expanding access to specialized women’s healthcare close to home.
As a photographer, I often get a front-row seat to these moments of growth—a promotion, a new position, the beginning of a new career. It’s a reminder that a professional headshot isn’t just a photograph. It’s a marker of a milestone and the start of an exciting new chapter.
Congratulations, Kelci! Thank you for the exceptional care you’ve given our family and so many others over the years. Wishing you all the best as you begin this new adventure in Women’s Health. I know your patients are in wonderful hands.
Professional Headshots for Clara Barton Medical Center
One of my favorite ongoing partnerships is working with Clara Barton Medical Center to create consistent, polished headshots for their physicians, providers, and staff. Whether it’s welcoming a new provider, celebrating a promotion, or announcing a new role, these portraits help put a friendly face behind the exceptional care being provided throughout our community.
It’s an honor to play a small part in telling those stories.
